1.    How did Kroger use the market basket analysis method?
                Kroger had a loyalty program that sent its customers coupons specific to their shopping                         tendencies. These coupons relate to things they have purchased before.
2.    Why is market basket analysis so popular in the retail industry?
                Market Basket analytics is popular because retailers choose which offers to put on                 certain items based on their selling rate. Market basket gains this info and it helps                 towards which items they want to bundle too.
3.    How easy is it to run a market basket analysis?
                Running a Market Basket analysis is inexpensive and easy
4.    What is the first thing that you see when walking into this supermarket?
                Paper Towel Sales, Large amounts of mixed items in a ‘Bucket’

6.    Based on your shopping experience or direct observation, which Maine-based grocery store is the best player in market basket analysis? Why? Use pictures if you can.
                Based on my experiences, Hannaford is the go-to place for me. Once of twice a month                 my roommate will come home from work with stacks of pages from the paper which                 are coupons and such for groceries and other essential items. Based on my location,                             Hannaford is the closest place for me to shop. As a result of being so close, I feel that I see                  more coupons for Hannaford than any other store around my area.
7.    Who should be responsible for the overconsumption of sugar?
                It and adults job to influence our youth about the high use of sugar.
8.    Do you believe if the government should regulate the sugar advertising?
                I do. There are too many studies that have proven the overuse and consumption of sugar                 within products. The government should assign this issue to the FDA.
9.    Identify the stages in the ethical decision-making framework in Chapter 4 and describe how ethics can be integrated into the snack industry’s advertising strategy?
                a) Identify the issue, Research and get more info on the issue. Communicate with the                   stakeholders, Brainstorm for alternatives, Decide, together, on what steps need to be                   made to fix the issue.
                b) The snack industry needs to change. I understand these snacks are adored by kids;                     however when sugar becomes a health issue, steps need to be made. Companies                     should strive to be more sustainable and uses higher-quality and healthier ingredients                           in their snacks and foods.
