Week 11
Petco has a great reputation with customers because they give review areas of the customers visits. Consumers can comment on service, products and more. This ensures that consumers can share their experiences with one another to help them from buying a bad product or riding a good one.
I chose to look at a Flexi leash:
“I have had a flexi for over 15 years (the cord type) and it still works but the cord has become fully extended and sometimes is slow to retract but still works, I just use it now for my dog who does not pull. This leash is a little heavier in the hand but still quite comfortable. I am hoping that the tape does not begin to fray at the edges, causing issues when retracting. So far, I am quite pleased and will be thrilled if I even get a decade out of this leash.” The product had a 4.9 star review. There were many comments that people did not like it because it allowed too much freedom for their animal.
Petco Should focus on people who only have animals an not children. Young adults and maybe even children so they can convince their parents to get them an animal. The promotions that they should use are for kids. Get them in the store and they will beg their parents for more.
I would say that it should be a necessity. People will return for good customer service. Providing a place to comment and tell the company that the product is not for you helps their market research. You will find that there are more positive than negative reviews, yet, they are all helpful regardless.
Brand associations mean that when there is a similarity between brands for the consumers. Someone who cooks a lot will associate with Rachel ray products. Sports plays will relate to sports. This can help with customer loyalty
Buzz metrics can help towards steering opinions of consumers. This can also be seen on online discussions too. Word of mouth is the most valuable because if the brand has a good reputation you can get much more consumer hype, but, if its bad, then there will be less interest in the product.
